December 10th - 2008, Corrientes province - Argentina

Dorado record on the fly...
Dear friends, this is what we got: a new Dorado record in Corrientes province, at Itati, Parana river. Is 30-pound Dorado with a #7 rod, with a Dorado deceiver black fly. The fisherman: Mr. Fernando Garcia. Receive our congratulations!!!!

Dorado fishing on the Juramento river...
Beginning of November at the Juramento river was excellent. Gerald Milsten from USA fish some good Dorado floating the Juramento river in Salta province. Hope next 2009 be as good as 2008!!!

November 16th - 2008, Entre Rios province - Argentina

The dove shooting season still continue...
November and December are as good as the last 10 month. Plenty of birds to shoot, with an average of 55 boxes per day per hunter!!! Unbelievable. And, if you want more, you got it. Just ask for a blast. Together with the shooting, enjoy at Los Laureles lodge the first class lodging, the nice pool and if you like fishing we can organize outing for the combative freshwater Dorado. All in the same place, all for you and your friends.

October 26th - 2008, Buenos Aires province - Argentina

Opening season: Dorado fishing on San Pedro area, close to Buenos Aires.
Last week the first fishermen of the 2008-2009 season start to arrive. The fishing conditions in San Pedro area -were we organize daily fishing trips from Buenos Aires- are very good. We caught 7 Dorado from 3 to 6 pound. The fishing conditions are going to be very good during November and December, hope all the want that love fly fishing, join us.

September 29th - 2008, Santa Fe province - Argentina

Opening season: Dorado fishing on the Parana and San Javier river.
The fishing season on Santa fe province start as well as the last years: excellent. During the last week of September, fishing at El Timbo lodge -were we stay- was excellent. A lot of Dorado from 3 to 9 pound has been caught on the fly. We have great expectations for the next 6 moths. If you are planning a fishing trip to Argentina, phone us or just send an e-mail. We will make the best recommendation.

Monster Dorado fishing on the Juramento and Del Valle rivers.
The fishing season in Salta start very good. Well, I can say excellent! The following are 2 of the many Dorado Mr. Nico Catena fish. The "monster" is 11kg weight, with a #7 fyfishing rod. No more words. What are you waiting for?

GS Safaris hosted trip.
This year, 10 hunters came together with Rick and Dick Kenneknecht. We are having a lot of fun at Los Laureles lodge, as last week with Chuck and his friends. I have to tell you, this group is fantastic: Erik, Terry, Justin, Eric, Laurie, Lee, Chris, Christopher, Darlene and Denny. We hunt ducks every morning, perdiz, dove and pigeon too. My friend Chuck is back.
As every year, Chuck Pfeifer come back to Argentina and with 2 new friends: Sam and Jon. This year we hunt in Los Laureles Lodge for dove, duck and perdiz. Every morning we went for ducks: the limit of 60 ducks was reach every day... amazing... Thanks my friends, I will be waiting you next year again together with Phil and Gary.

Great openning of the bird shooting season.
The first groups are finishing their hunts and getting back home. The results can´t be better: excellent hunting, even the warm weather during the first 3 week of May.

DORADO FISHING REPORT
May 2nd - 2008, Salta province - Argentina

The Juramento and the Dorado rivers with excellent fishing!
We receive a phone call from Sebastian, our guide in Salta. He told us that after a some difficulties because of the flood during February and March, April was really good. The last tow weeks they caught several Dorado´s in the crystal clear waters of the Dorado river. The size of the fish were from 3 to 10 pounds.
Dorado fishing in Argentina is now in an excellent moment! Here in Salta the season finish next November, opposite to the other areas we fish in the delta of the Parana river.

Latest news of the big game hunting season in Argentina.
Here there are some of the pictures of the hunters we receive in La Pampa during the last 3 weeks. All of them hunt nice trophies of Red Stag, Balckbuck Antelope and a great Water Buffalo hunt with bow!!! Thanks to Rick, Santiago, Silvio Calabi, Tony, Matt and Beth.

March 14th - 2008, Quehue valley area, La Pampa province - Argentina

The Red Stag rut has start and is getting better and better!!!
I´ve been staying together with Arni Baldurson from Lax-a Iceland at La Pampa and Mendoza. The hunt can´t be better: Wild boar, Water Buffalo, Red stag, Blackbuck and Puma. We had a great time. I will be updating news the following weeks about how the big game hunting is season is going. Hasta pronto!

DUCK HUNTING REPORT
February 29th - 2008, San Javier area, Santa Fe province - Argentina

Summer hunt, more than 900 ducks!!! 3 days / 10 guns.
San Javier area is still leading the ranking of the best places where to hunt ducks in Argentina all year round. Matt Smith´s party, all of them from Oregon, US spend a great time shooting the last week of Febraury. They shoot more than 900 hundred duck, drink hundreds of beers and also fish freshwater Dorado and Piranhas: more that 50 fish in only 2 outings! We will be waiting them again next year for their Cast & Blast Argentina trip.

TROUT FISHING REPORT
January 2nd - 2008, Limay river, Bariloche area - Argentina

The "big ones" on the Limay river.
The Limay do it once again... the only river where a 10 pound brown or rainbow trout can be fish. Daniel Beilinson fished this super nice brown trout last week, with a #5 rod, a sinking line, a 7,5 feet leader, 3x tippet and olive Wolly Bugger. Bariloche is still giving us this amazig records. The season runs up to April, join us!
