Close to the Dorado world record on the fly!
Our fishing guide in Corrientes province had probably caught his lifetime fish. A monster freshwater Dorado of 42 pounds, taken with # 8 rod, floating line. He fight during 45-minute and finally landed, take the picture and released back to the Parana river. Good work "Peto", you did it!!!

For those interested in trying to catch this unique fish, consider the best season in this area start in January and runs up to May, this mean we have already start booking for the 2010 season. If you are a group of at least 2 fishermen, don´t hesitate to contact us an we will organize a nice Dorado fishing trip for you.

June 15-20th

Trip of a lifetime.
Our good friend Dick Kennerknecht, from Casper-WY, has organized a truly 'trip of a lifetime' for this group. After staying one night at the Alvear Hotel in the nice neighborhood of Recoleta -the heart of Buenos Aires city- we departed on charter flight to Guamini area, considered one of the best places in Argentina for bird hunting. We stayed at La Sistina Lodge. Duck hunting was unblebable: everybody shoot the limit of 20 ducks per day per hunter!!! Then, during the afternoon the party get crazy with the dove shooting quality: plenty of birds. Some of them shoot 20 boxes, but Kelvin and Victor shoot more than 40 each!!! amazing... One of the journeys we organize a relaxed, but interesting hunt: pheasant, pigeon, hare and perdiz walking with dogs, the group enjoy a lot this outing. Victor, an entusiasthic hunter, also decide to make a big game hunt. Results, can be better: Feral Goat, Fallow Deer, Muflon, Ram and Blackbuck Antelope. We are waiting the final result, but a first measurement said that one of the ram probably will be Top 4 on the SCI Southamerican record, and one of the Blackbucks, probably Top 6. Can´t you imagine, two Top 10 trophies in only one day? Congratulations Victor!!! Back to Buenos Aires on a charter flight, they departed back to US promising themselves to return soon.

Uruguay is probably an unknown destination for many of you, but I can guarantee they have excellent big game hunt. Last rut season -that take place during march and April as in Argentina- an excellent 19 pointer red stag has been shoot. Our good friend Enrique Garbino owner of the lodge, tell us that next 2010 season is probably going to be one of the best. They have great expectations for all the trophies you will be able find in this beautiful 12,000 acres ranch: Axis deer, Muflon, Feral goat, Ram, Red Stag an excellent Wild boars!

June 20-26th

Fresh news from Cuba.
We arrivDe to Cuba last June 20th and we are going to stay here for 4 weeks. Here is the report of the first days: the fishing is really good and everybody is fishing. Plenty of bones, nice permits, baby tarpons and some amazing tarpon of 45 pounds, not giant but yes big. Most of the day were sunny, we have a few rain and some wind, even though has not affect the fishing.

Cuba is a paradise, and open to all the ones who love fly fishing, is an unforgettable experience: the weather, the landscape, the people, and of course the fishing. We have already arrange in exclusive at least 5 week for next June-July 2010 and there are some rods still open. Contact us for more details. I will keep you update in our website news.

As you know Salta. is for me probably my favorite destination in Argentina for Dorado flyfishing. The warm weather, the virgin landscape in the middle of the yungas (southamerican jungle), and of course the chance to fish the really big ones in the Juramento river. Beside this, consider the other two jewels: the rio Del Valle and the rio Dorado, crystal clear water and sightseeing fishing. If you are a skilled fly fisherman you must book a trip to this challenging area. 100% recommendable. You will never forget the experience. Season close next November 15th, been September, October and November the high season.
